About UsThe White Ribbon Campaign of Vermont (WRCVT) is an organization of Vermont men working to end men's violence against women. It relies on volunteer support and financial contributions from individuals and organizations. We are affiliated with and recognize the pioneering work of the White Ribbon Campaign in Canada. Through its inspiration and leadership since 1991, there are now White Ribbon Campaigns in over 50 countries. We started the White Ribbon Campaign of Vermont in December, 2006, following the murders of Linda Lambesis, Alecia Shanks, Laura Winterbottom and Michelle Gardner-Quinn. The WRCVT is a Vermont non-profit corporation. Contributions are tax-deductible. We have a volunteer Board of Directors, and an Organizing Committee with representatives from across Vermont. Day-to-day leadership is provided by an Executive Committee. There is no paid staff -- we are all volunteers. The heart and soul of the organization are concerned men across Vermont. WRCVT not only includes men from varying social and political perspectives, but it is an organization that seeks to avoid becoming hierarchical or bureaucratic. There are no VIPs, although there are some men who currently know more about these issues than others, who put in more time, or have particular areas of expertise. What’s important is the work we do, not the organization we build. Learn more about us on the faq page. BOARD OF DIRECTORSRev. Will Burhans, Charlotte Congregational Church |
